7 Nerdy Recipes to Bring in the Fall Season

The fall season is my absolute favorite all year long. Since I was a kid it meant leaves changing colors, cool weather, sweaters, apple picking and lots of baking. With summer winding down, and fall hot on it’s tails, I thought I would share some ways to put a nerdy twist on some fall favorites. Here is a list of my favorite 7 nerdy recipes to bring in the fall season.

  1. Tiana’s Gumbo Recipe

I loved everything about Princess and the Frog when it came out in theaters 10 years ago (holy crap does time move fast), but I especially loved the tie in between culture and food. Gumbo is such a huge part of Louisiana’s culture and it was great that it was incorporated into the heart of the film. Warm your insides after a cold fall day with Princess Tiana’s gumbo recipe.

  1. Tiana’s Beignet Recipe

I mentioned how much I loved Princess and the Frog above, and with so much of the film dedicated to food, it only felt right to also incorporate Tiana’s beignet recipe as well. Because what’s better than a steaming hot cup of coffee and a delicious beignet on a cool fall morning?

  1. Harry Potter’s Butterbeer Latte

When I think of Harry Potter, I think about how many fall weekends I spent binging the franchise with a hot bowl of soup and my family surrounding me. Warm up with this delicious Butterbeer latte and relive some magical moments of your own.

  1. Beauty and the Beast Cheese Souffle

“Be our guest. Beef ragout, cheese souffle, pie and pudding en flambe. We’ll prepare and serve with flair a culinary cabaret.” Prepare a feast worthy of any beast with this Beauty and the Beast themed cheese souffle recipe.

  1. Bob’s Burgers: “I’ve Created a Muenster Burger”

Bob’s Burgers is definitely a staple in my home and it only felt right to include the I’ve Created a Muenster burger featured in the Bob’s Burgers cookbook. This burger is loaded with cheese and mushrooms, two essentials in fall cooking if you ask me.

  1. Game of Thrones Frey Pie

Game of thrones

I know that Game of Thrones has just concluded its 8 season run but why not relive the glory, or even start your rewatch, with this Frey Pie. With both ground pork AND bacon in its flaky crust, you can’t go wrong with this fall staple.

  1. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Pasta
